Bait Dread Possibility

A (relatively) young upstart with the Fraternity of Shadows, Jan Mikkelsen is not an illusionist but rather a generalist wizard and even a dabbler in necromancy to boot. However, his superiors may be on to his tricks, as they may have a special purpose for him. In the Bait Dread Possibility, having failed to create a willing darklord among their number, they seek to make one of their number an unwitting (and presumably, unwilling) darklord out of Jan.
