The unification of the Five major clans of Old Vaasa by King Zaanji Højplads marks the end of the epoch known as the Grazing and the beginning of the epoch known as the Ranging as well as the start of the Vaasi Timeline. With the alliance of the five major clans, the minor ones quickly fell in line. According to this history, the unification saved the Gammel Vaasi from conquest from their more civilized neighbors.[1]
