Hailing from Gothic Earth's Poland during the 1500s, Rabbi Mendel sought to remove the world from evil (and existence) and thus performed powerful acts of magic using his mastery over the w:kabbalah. Instead, he brought his town into the Demipland of Dread. Now he lurks in his room researching esoteric rituals to finish his dreaded work, hostile to any disturbance.[1]
