Eugen Adi
Eugen Adi was a tax collector that worked for Burgomaster Ivan Randovich.[1] Eugen also had a seat on the [[Category:Ruling Council of Orașnou|ruling council of Orașnou.[2] So great was Eugen's greed and cruelty that the Dark Powers blessed him with great strength but also levied a powerful curse upon him. So cursed, Eugen was afflicted by a ravenous and unnatural hunger that it greatly contributed to the food shortage of Orașnou.[1] Eugen's depredations eventually led to a team of adventurers destroying him.[2]
History
Eugen Adi worked with Scartia Kruz as Burgomaster Randovich's tax collectors, collecting items, food, and livestock as the taxes are required to be paid in Strahd's land. As time went on, Eugen's curse got to the point it was affecting the already critical endangered food supplies, for Eugen secretly prayed upon the livestock he was supposed to watch over.
Eugen visited Costel Barbu, a barber skilled in the healing arts, to have his condition removed. Costel proved unable to remove Eugen's condition. Out of anger, Eugen murdered and ate him entirely. Eugen continued to prey upon Orașnou's sheep and attempted to blame it on Costel's mentally impaired son, Luca Barbu.
Regardless of Eugen's success in framing Luca, Eugen's hunger eventually tore away all inhibitions and Eugen began going from house to house eating anyone he came across.[3] A group of adventurers put an end to his rampage by killing him.[2]
