Holding a malign intelligence, a vine horror is an algae colony that can take on a vaguely humanoid shape. They are quite protective of the aquatic and swamp locations they dwell in and show no compulsion against attacking people or, if the vine horrors' numbers allow it, communities. Vine horrors prefer to make surprise attacks, aided by their ability to animate nearby plantlife as assassin vines under their control.[1]
