Esselios

Hailing from the Moonsea region of Faerun near Phlan, Esselios is an unusually intelligent raven that can readily speak human language. He was once the familiar of a wizard, but his master was murdered by orcs. Esselios swore an oath to himself to prevent orcs from hurting any other people. Although biased against orcs, Esselios has become knowledgeable about them. He is also highly knowledgeable about the Rookscrag environs.

Esselios may, for a time, have been whisked away with some adventurers to Barovia.
