Deshka is a lieutenant in The Swords of Zhakata, serving under Captain Anzya at Fort Grasu. Despite her youth, she became a lieutenant in part because of her familiarity with the Jackal's Run.[1]

Not only does Deshka aid Captain Anzya in her double life as The Jackal, but Deshka herself is secretly a G'Hennan wereleopard.[2][3]
