Genfigenus

Fine-sized humanoids native to the domain of Madego, who seem to be physically indistinguishable from humans, apart from their size. Genfigenus were first observed after the Night of Music that ended the Great Upheaval of 740 BC, but claim they existed in the domain before the arrival of Chi-Folken and Pierrobit and are the rightful owners of the land.

Genfigenus are ridiculously savage. Culturally speaking, they are forever stuck in the Stone Age, and disdainful of the notion that they might advance by adapting the technologies of other species. They do not build homes or cultivate crops, but wander their territories and survive by hunting, gathering and raiding. Their tribes are strictly divided in male and female, which meet only to reproduce and so female tribes may divest themselves of sons who have been weened.

In spite of their grand opinion of themselves as the rightful owners of the land and daring raiders, Genfigenus are considered to be little more than nasty pests by the larger creatures of Madego. It is rare for them to manage to seriously inconvenience or even kill a Chi-Folken or Pierrobit. More often, they fall for traps set for other sorts of pests. They are known for their vile stench, however; Genfigenus only bathe if rained upon or forced to cross water, and actively cultivate a smell that causes enemies' eyes to water and temporarily blinds them.
