Griffin (Red Widow)

Griffin is a red widow from the Divided States. She is first encountered in Quoth the Raven Issue 32 in the story "A Darkness Falls", traveling with members of the Society of the Wandering Eye. The fact that she bears the Society's floral tattoo squarely on the back of her left hand suggests she is a member of the Lotus Society. She boasts of being a powerful spellcaster capable of defeating a group of Society-members, and has demonstrated that she is a dead-shot with a sniper rifle.

When first encountered, Griffin was in possession of (and had presumably been involved in producing) a hard drug called "Thunderbird". She was in the process of handing out samples to either prospective customers or people she wanted to compromise for other reasons.

Recently, Griffin has made an enemy of the Dark One, Darklord of the domain she inhabits, by shooting and killing the Darklord's lover, Dona. Given how large the Divided States are, she stands a decent chance of evading capture and retribution for a considerable time, but the Dark One has already demonstrated a willingness to close the borders to prevent her from escaping outright.
