A liberator fights that the chains of of slaves might be broken and the oppressed might rise up and seize for themselves the freedom of self-government. Such individuals are vanishing few in the Land of Mists for such revolutionary notions find precious little fertile ground. Few lands have middle classes to speak. The poor in most lands cannot imagine such a thing. And the rich in theose same lands would not image it. Only in Souragne, where slavery has ended, and in Paridon, where a sense of worth is attributed to the individual, would a liberator appear as ought other than a madman.
