Any thoughts on how to sort out aristocrat vs. noble vs. aristocrat the class, vs. landowner.

Aristocrat the class can be done as Category:Aristocrat (Class)).

Would all aristocrats and all nobles be landowners, but not all landsowners aristocrats or nobles?

And would noble and aristocrat be synomous?Cure 05:35, 28 April 2010 (UTC)

I say noble and aristocrat are synonymous, based on my gut feeling, and bolstered by some online dictionary searching.
Nothing in the definition of either requires land ownership, though. I think it best to leave them separate. Ravenloft is not completely feudal, so non-noble landowners surely exist. But it's also possible for a noble to lose their lands, I'd imagine. Or for a young noble to not yet be given lands.
So my preference is: Aristocrat is a disambig, which leads to Category:Aristocrat for the class and Category:Noble for the title. -- Gonzoron 15:02, 28 April 2010 (UTC)
