Dr. Quintin Clangor is an alienist who runs the Clangor Asylum. Among the treatments that he offers is electroshock thank to the procurement of a lightning box from Dr. Victor Mordenheim. Clangor and his assisstants have pried open the device, but the principles of its functioning remained a mystery to them.
