Goblins are identified in the minds of many with Tepest where they are infamous for ambushing travellers, but they are found elsewhere such as Darkon[1][2], Dementlieu[3][4], Kartakass[5][6], and Verbrek (in the region that was formerly Arkandale).[7] Caliban births occur among this species and surviving individuals typically rise to positions of leadership (use hobgoblin statistics).[8] Goblins, and goblins alone, have achieved a measure of control over goblin beasts, which they use as guards and mounts.[8] Goblins in the Land of Mists excel at trapmaking rather than riding (a +2 racial bonus for Craft (Trapmaking) is substituted for the racial bonus for Ride).[8] Spellcasters tend to be female, either adepts or, more rarely, clerics.[8] Hags intimidate and exploit goblins to their dark ends, sometimes nurturing adepts.
