Matton Blanchard is a Wolfwere and native of Kartakass. Despite being a magical beast, he is also a noble.[1] Matton is Gabrielle Aderre's lover and resides with her at Castle Hunadora. Despite both being ruthless killers, Matton and Gabrielle seem to have genuine feelings of love for each other. However, their relationship has been on rocky grounds for quite some time. Gabrielle has bedded with two other lovers, one with the Gentleman Caller and the other with Ardonk Szerieza. The former seemed to magically coerce Gabrielle to mate with him and (for a time) throw aside Matton.[2]
Matton enjoys hunting. He sometimes leads hunting parties from the back of a horse.[3] Matton's favorite mount is named Storm.[1]
